Ask the Maker Guide: Removing background

Let's see if I can recall all the steps of how I created this icon (LOL) or I can show with a different image which I think I am going to do. I don't know what icon making tools you used. I know that photoshop has the lasso tool to help remove background stuff. I use photopea and use a different tool to help remove background ;)
First step - I edit the screencap:

To this here:

Then second step (removing background): I use this website to remove the background for me: www.remove.bg/

Sometimes, the cut is perfect other times you have to play with it yourself, where you have options to erase or restore:

Now I go back into photopea to place subject on a different background: (open and place for me or open and place and then scale the image as well, it depends on what the icons is).

Maybe edit somemore then make sure to go from 100 x 100, by eyeballing the cropping:

to final product:

More steps, but I think the end results get you to icons like above.
I hope this tutorial helped! If anyone has more questions, please don't hestitate to comment or reach out to me!
