post 75: look back on 2018 progress

January

+ I started off the year by doing a combined post for January and February.
+ My first post was

oddlyspecificon,

calendarsquares, and for

elitesimplicity. These icons showcase my bold/vibrant coloring and close cropping.

February

+ Once again mentioned, this was a post combined for icons created for January and February.
+ The post was created for

capicontest and just creating icons for no challenges, I was trying to use fake backgrounds, focus on bold coloring and close cropping.

March

+ This month, I decided to do a challenge from dreamwidth, which was for icons10in20 for dreamwidth. I was using fake background, bold coloring and creating complex icons.

April - June
+ No icons were made at all during this period.

July

+ I had posts made for this month, one for

monthlyinspo and one for

theseasonwheel. I used stock for the monthlyinspo post and for theseasonalwheel I tried using lots of fake backgrounds, complex icons and compositions.

August

+ So the post that I created actually combined icons I created in July, August, and for September. I created icons for

oddlyspecificon and

itsabattlefield. I really love how my close crops turned out!

September

+ I created icons for

itsabattlefield,

capicontest,

elitesimplicity,

color_inspired, and

capchallenge.

October

+ I created icons for

itsabattlefield for battle 2.

November

+ Went back to my roots (stock icons) for

monthlyinspo.

December

+ I created some of these icons back in november but posted them in December. I made two posts, one for

itsabattlefield and the other for some icons I originally created but didn't like for

monthlyinspo and for

capicontest and the rest were created to challenge myself. Also created some icons for the gift exchange for

color_inspired.

Closing Thoughts
+ I just noticed that I never finished my half-finished historamedy claim for Reign (link here)! (oops)
+ To work on: text work (so uncomfortable with that), blocking, complexity, step out of my comfort zone for sure! To stop being super anal about certain things (and to write less) about my organization but to make sure to use my tags consistently!

last year (2016): 1, 185 icons
2 years ago (2015): about 1,056
for example this^ I am not counting how many icons I created cause I know it's even lower than before and I don't need to count all the icons I created.
