Oh my gosh, I forgot today is the last day of 2025, I better get ready writing 2026 soon! I noticed either I created icons at least once a month or three times a month (June/October looking at you), but the number of icons I create have decreased but that may be due to the fact that I am currently finishing my dissertation/doing internship (which is my job) and just juggling other demands that make creating more icons harder for me. But I do want to still be productive next year, and grow as an icon creator.

January

I started off this year by creating remake icons for

bestof_icons , creating icons for

monthlyinspo (which I miss this community),

screen_icons ,

iconthat ,

stocklove_ic , and

iconcolors . I found a cool technique to make levels and blocking which I had so much fun using for these icons.

February

I created icons for

monthlyinspo and

stocklove_ic , where I was focusing more on coloring and lighting. Also, for my alts, I focused on text work, which is something that I don't like to do but I want to grow as an icon creator in this area.

March

I created icons for

monthlyinspo and

stocklove_ic , where I was focusing more composition work and coloring.

April

I created icons for

monthlyinspo ,

retro_icontest , and

icontalking , this is where I focused on text work, simplicity and using five layers or less to create icons (which was super fun to do!)

May

I had a blast in the past for the

retro_icontest challenge which was following somein30 challenge which always pushed me as an icon creator, I had different challenges that I made sure to follow. Also,

fandom10in30 focused on cropping, and

perioddrama_ic focused on book covers. I made some random icons focusing on the texture and composition on them.

June

I created so many icons for June, especially for

retro_icontest which was all about those decoratives so I had fun exploring different decorative textures, discovered my love of painted effect for

monthlyinspo and

perioddrama_ic , and focusing on coloring for

fandom10in30 .

July

I created icons for

retro_icontest and alts for

celebrity20in20 . I focused on coloring, painted effect, and complexity.

August

I was away for vacation but I did answer an ask the maker question about how to make gif icons, and created icons for

fandom10in30 and

icontalking . I focused on complexity, warm coloring, and text work.

September

I created icons for

monthlyinspo ,

retro_icontest , and

stocklove_ic . I had so much fun focusing on coloring, composition, and text work for this post. Also, I was asked in two challenges what I did in the summer which was basically analyzing my data for my dissertation/writing my dissertation and relaxing on vacation.

October

I created icons for

perioddrama_ic,

iconthat,

icontalking

iconcolors

disney_20in20 and

tvmovie20in20
focused on the use of textures/composition.

November

I created icons for

screen_icons and focused on the use of textures/composition.

December

I created icons for

icontalking . I focused on coloring, lighting, textures, and composition.

Closing Thoughts: I feel like I've probably started out wanting to work on my goals that I usually have working on more complex compositions. So to work on my same goals - complex composition and text work especially when I have the time to do so. - note - same closing remarks as last year!
